Minnesota Twins place pitchers Trevor May and Phil Hughes on the 15 day disabled list

The Associated Press reports from Minneapolis Minnesota the Minnesota Twins have placed in the 15 day disabled list right handed relief pitchers Phil Hughes and Trevor May.
Hughes was struck by a line drive on his left knee on Thursday during a baseball game versus the Miami Marlins.
May has been battling back spasms that have limited his relief pitching performances this week.
The Twins have activated from the 15 day disabled list right handed pitcher Kyle Gibson who has recovered from a back injury and an injury to his right shoulder that sidelined since April 22, 2016.
Gibson and right handed pitcher J T Chargois had been pitching for the Rochester Red Wings which is the AAA minor league team of the Minnesota Twins.
Chargois will be making his first appearance in the Major Leagues on Friday as the Twins will be hosting the Boston Red Sox for a three game series to be held at Target Field in Minneapolis.
