Single or Dual monitors? Can you really be productive having multiple monitors?

I have been in front of my computer monitor for almost two years now. It may be a bit boring but this job has been doing me well so that I could provide for my family. Having a single monitor has been okay but having to experience dual monitors, it changed a lot. I was able to do more and it really is convenient in general. What do you think? Does this work for you?

I've never worked with dual monitor but I think it will really increase one's productivity.

I prefer and concentrate only single monitors. And if you like there is option of multiple windows for multiple tasks.

I use a single screen and headphones for listening.

I prefer 3 monitors at once, one for playing, one for internet and one to monitor data. :)
