Table mannerisms are the ultimate respect that you to the host and sometimes unknowingly it leads to disrespect. These are the table mannerisms in some countries which you should know to avod this 'showing disrespect unknowingly'.
In Japan when you are eating noodles or soups you should slurp showing respect and apprecation towards the chef. The more you slurp the more respect it would be and finishing your dinner you should put the chop stick vertically in the rice served. While this being the situaton here, you should never eat food with left hand in India. Indians always eat food with their right hand only. Surprisingly, smelling the food served amounts to suspecting a host in PERU.
The bill should never be split in France nor it can be shared. Here, you use your both hands for eating. The fork and knife or the fork and bread. The bread is used to take the item to serve it to the fork but not for eating directly, The bread is cut into two. One is for eating but not for eating directly. The other half when not used will be left over the table or on the cloth. In Mexico it is considered snobby using fork and knife for eating but using the same for eating is ill-mannered in Chile
Do not ask for Cheese in Italhy as it is considered sin and do not ask for salt and pepper in Potugal as it is considered ill-treating the chief.

Very interesting! I was about to talk about Japan but someone already covered it, so here's another. It's bad form to tip there, because you are insulting the employer's ability to pay their employees.
