Kids are more lazy these days as then tend to remain at home playing video games or watching television. Parents also feed their kids well with rich food when they are at home. In olden days children were playing more outside their comfortable home and so they were physically active and also strong. Parents have to force children to play more of outdoor games which makes them more active and also healthier. Many kids are getting health diseases at very early age because of all these activities and more over they also eat more of junk food which adds to their il health

Schools also should make exercise a must for every student. There should be marks and weightage for sports also. Only then the situation can be improved. Schools without play grounds should be closed. Parents should encourage and motivate children to have physical exercises in addition to studies. Parents have to provide balanced diet instead of junk food.

schools can implement some things as you said, but parents play a major role in bringing up their children. After coming back from school, it is the parents who will be looking after their children and these days even parents are busy in their work that they will not be able to give much time to their kids

@vijay_2016 nice inputs and will be still nicer if parents do some of the things you have mentioned here. Some parents don't even get time to look into children's activities as life has become so mechanical for them and they do give more time to work to get more money

@alienstar yes parents are key, they should motivate the children and provide good balanced food. In busy lifestyle and both the parents working in many families, there is not enough time. However children should be priority to parents, they should spend atleast 1 hour every working day with children and see how they doing in studies their food etc, And spend more time on weekends.

It's not the children's fault if they eat more junk food. The parents are responsible for that.

It does not mean only junk food, but look at other activities of children today. Parents do play a major role in children's upbringing as they should be able to give time to their kids unless otherwise there will be some negative impacts as stated here.Time is fast today and not like past olden days

It depends on who the parents are. Not all are like this because my children do go outside to play all the time. They do a lot of the same things I did when I was a kid. Climb trees, play in the sand, finding frogs, grasshoppers and lizards, they play in the sprinkler/hose to cool off, etc... I don't allow mine to have a game system-there's plenty of time for that mess. For now I want them to enjoy being a child while they still can.

Yeah,I totally agree with you. When I was much younger,I just love playing with my pals in my back yard. But as I grow bigger,I tend to go through Tumblr, wattpad and staying at home.I would still sometimes hang out with my friends but normally go to the library or go shopping.I have no clue what is happening.

@alienstar,Agree.Kids have become lazy. Here in India most of them never play,or if sometimes they play, they play cricket.I rarely see them playing football and hockey.

In older times there were no video games and outdoor games were very popular.Moms also had no mobiles so they paid full attention on kids and family.
