My Favorite Depeche Mode Songs: #9 "World in My Eyes" (1990)

"Violator" was DM's most successful album being an international best seller that rose to Billboard #7. "World in My Eyes" was the least successful single from "Violator" and stalled at Billboard #52 though receiving heavy alternative radio play. "World in My Eyes" is another sort of DM romance song as Dave Gahan asks "Let me show you the world in my eyes, let me take you on a trip around the world and back." "World in My Eyes" is just a great sounding song with a catchy thump and throb intro leading into vocals. There are various mixes and live versions providing differing sounds and feels. The song is an excellent example of DM being at the peak of their electronic pop mastery.

I saw the Violator tour at Red Rocks. Nitzer Ebb opened. Great show!

yeah even I love Depeche Mode albums. I love the meaningful sentences and phrases as well in his lovable songs.
World in my eyes is the top song....broke many hearts in the world

Yes i like depeche mode.but one of my favorite song of them is "Somebody".that song was so meaningful and touches my heart.
