Another challenging poetry challenge from @Jessicalynnt This time the five key words are meal, breakfast, fast, eggs, bacon. Some Time After Feeding Time He thinks he is wasting away fast. Minutes after his breakfast repast He longs for another meal He imagines he can feel His ribs under the blubber His tongue feels like its turned to rubber He wants my bacon and eggs But no matter how much my dog begs Like this I don’t throw him a single scrap Eventually he sulks and takes a nap He’ll start making the same din The next time he finishes off his tin Of dog food – If I carried on like that you’d think I was terribly rude.
