Watchtower in Ilocos Region is common because this was built during the Spanish regime in the Philippines serving against the pirates that attack the region during that era. Some of this edifice have already collapsed because of time but there are some who defied the worst of times and still standing tall. This one is in Santiago, Ilocos Sur. Only the half remain standing and the other half already collapsed. Because of importance of history, it was rehabilitated and turn into a tourist spot. Adding with some development in the surrounding and the serene beauty of the bay, it become a haven of inspiration.

It is good when older buildings like that are remodeled and can be turned into a tourist spot.

We have many ruins in England that have been turned into tourist attractions. There is a glitch regarding photos at the moment.
