Are anti-biotics good in cases of tonsilitis?

Many people in India have tonsilitis.
Whenever they have cough and cold their tonsils get imflammed.
So they cannot tolerate it and eat anti-biotics.
After that they get weak and sometimes have stomach problems.
should they have anti-biotics?

There's nothing with anti-biotic. unless they eat first before they eat anti-biotic. maybe that's the reason why they get weak and the stomach problems.

Thanks Steven, the common anti-biotics used in India are AZEE 500 mg, during cold, cough, throat infections and tonsilitis.
