Tulsi plant or basil plant has a lot of medicinal values.
In India, when people have the potted plant in their homes, they put a diya or light candles in the mud where the tulsi plant grows and chant mantras in the evening.
The growth of the tulsi plant appears to be sacred in India.

Even though tulsi plant is treated as a sacred plant and worship daily the actual intention behind is Tulasi has got good medicinal values especially for people with cough eating Tulsi leaves gives relief even the wind coming from Tulsi plant gives good medicinal benefits
