Brooklyn, the Movie

June 14, 2016 8:18pm CST
Well, hello folks~ Tonight was supposed to be Shakespeare in the Park. Alas, due to indecision and a potential thunderstorm, we decided to stay home. I had already bought our picnic goodies (a couple gourmet cheeses, cherries, olives, bread, crackers, and OF COURSE, wine). Thus, we had GOODIES for dinner. And we decided to rent Brooklyn from VidAngel (the awesome rental service available online.) It was a great story about a 1950's Irish immigrant coming to America to attempt to make a better life for herself. My husband and I both enjoyed it immensely. Have you seen it?

That sounds like a wonderful way to spend an evening together, I haven't seen the movie, but now I'll have to watch for it.

It's a good one! My kids would have been bored probably and my daughter would have teased me for the tears rolling down my face during a few parts of the movie. :-)

I like the movie and actually I posted my review here about the movie. Yes. I love the movie. Which part do you like? I like the part when she told her mom about his husband in new york.

the whole story was good. i found myself in tears a few times throughout the film, especially when she was homesick.
