Killing is Forbidden in Islam:
"..And do not kill anyone whose killing Allah has forbidden except for a just cause, and whoever is killed unjustly We have given his heir the authority but let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life verily he is hold(by the Islamis law)" (Quran BaniIsrael:33)
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the most peaceful man to live on the planet. Try to read books on him even by Christian authors. The book "The 100 most influential people" rates Muhammad (saw) on the top. He was a man of peace, said "Whoever kills one human being it is as if he has killed the whole humanity".
It is just through propaganda that Islam today is being maligned. A little research on true Islam and Islamic thought is all you need to do.

I will agree with you on most of what you posted. No religion per se is violent. All religions are intrinsically peaceful. However, some people misinterpret religion. I dont think these terrorists belong to any religion. ISlamis not the enemy as people are increasingly thinking. Also, I dont think Islam is maligned only due to propaganda (some is there I will admit),major reason is though a huge number of terrorists have muslim names. So general people (who are not well informed) naturally make such inference. I think educated and tolerant muslims like you should spread the message of peace. Your topic is agood one nevertheless and I encourage you to continue in the same spirit. May God bless you.:)

yes misinterpretation of Islam is what I am talking about. People who actually dont know derive their own opinions only through the media, which is controlled mostly by westerners.
Western governments have their own agenda and media heavily tilted to guard their own interests ..of lets say staying in the middle east on the pretext of the so called "WMD's or terrorists". People need not get caught in the brainwashing of the media, but instead deduce your own opinion but studying Islam through authentic sources...!

Sumit dude, think about it man, how can are religion spread terror. Have you even read the text? Whats the point of simply saying that. Due to some misguiged followers you cant blame a religion. I am not a muslim, but I will stand by that. Anyways thanks for your participation.

How can a religion spread terror when all it teaches is peace and harmony and equality. Many wrong acts are sometimes unfortunately associated with religion when infact their roots do not lie there. Sometimes the causes are that of hatred, prejudice e.t.c. Let people know what Islam actually teaches and how it is now being mis-interpreted...!

Very true.... One thing i am 100% sure that whoever study religions it will be obvious for him/her that its the ONLY true religion. The only religion that can give peace of mind and peace itself all around the world and for every individual. But IF one only want to raise finger or just aim to let down its teachings then its on upto him/her. One cant do anything else feel pity for the one:) and to pray that may Allah give him guidance towards the path of truth.:).. THANKS

yeah, i am too a Muslim and feel proud on this. U r right. Its the most peaceful religion of the world. New user! u should avoid to discuss such discussions. There r many non-Muslims too here and they can use any such word which may spoil the environment of mylot.
