Do You Know The Name Of This Tuber Garden Plant?

Once in a year, this flower blooms in our backyard. The flower looks like a ball of thousand needles. It has a color of orange and the tip is yellow. Unluckily for me, I don't know the name of this plant. The beautiful flower blooms only once a year particularly in the month of May. It would take several days, maybe a week, before the flower die down. There is also a variant of this plant like the bell. The flower when all in bloom, it is so magical.
