My dinner tonight is going to be awesome

My man asked me if I wanted to come out tonight so I told him I would bring dinner for him to grill us. I saw a recipe on facebook where on the spiedie sticks you put meat, peppers,and pierogies. It looks amazing. He has spiedies (the meat part) and I bought these vegetarian chicken cutlets for me. I got green peppers and mini pierogies to take as well. I am practically drooling thinking about how yummy this is going to be. I stopped at the library and borrowed MockingJay Part 2 for us to watch after we eat. I am excited!

I've never had spiedies but my husband LOVED pierogies, so we made those all the time.

Did you make them from scratch or buy them as I did with the Mrs.T's mini pierogies?

@CRK109 I've bought a few different brands of pierogies over the years but Mrs. T's are the best I think. I rarely buy them as I am the only one in my house that eats them. This was the first time I had the mini's. I bought them so they fit on the skewers better then the large ones.

@shaggin We would buy Mrs. Ts but we didn't buy the mini ones. We bought the large ones. And we would get a box of each flavor since he could never choose a favorite! lol

Nope Ravioli are filled with ricotta cheese. Pierogies are filled with potatoes. Pierogies are much yummier I think. These were cheese and potato ones.

@pgntwo I have had gnocchi once and it was pretty yummy. I have a recipe to make it I should give it a try.

@shaggin I have seen them but never tried them. Gnocchi are potato pasta of a sort, unfilled - quite tasty.

The vegeterian meat I bought was so terrible. The pierogies, onions and peppers were delicious though! Tonight I made myself a baked dish that had garlic, spinach, rice and cheese's etc. It was yummy. I love trying out new recipes!

oh sounds really good. and I loved all the hunger games movies. bought all but prt 2 and rented that a while back. I want it but might not be able to own it for a while
