In what condition can the product be fixed for free?

My aunts new television had broken as of yesterday. She asked a favor to go to the shop and avail the warranty of the product. A surprise incident slapped my face on the spot. The salesclerk rejected to fix the product for free and arguments came along. I emphasized that the television is still in the warranty period. With such intense rage from within and I continued to conceal the ill-tempered feelings. I demanded to talk to the manager of the shop and asked an assistance. Without further due, he apologized and made an arrangement to fix the said product. I am not contented yet. I asked the manager to reprimand the salesclerk.

Here most of the companies will provide the warranty period for a year, some even will increase to three years. If the product doesn't work during the warranty period, the company will fix it for free. And some even will exchange a new product for you. And some even provide a better service. Such as one day my cable TV box didn't work. My husband brought it to its company. They just gave him another cable TV box and didn't charge us any fees. And it seems that they didn't even care about the warranty period as if it was long lasting

That's nice to hear. There are some companies are trying to make money out of it and services are poor. I am not sure if you are familiar in Shenzhen mall. Most of the products there are being copied. I am wondering if they give warranty for their products.

I would be upset too. It seems many try to rip people off until you speak up. I am glad they will fix your aunts tv now but it should not have needed to expedite to the manager if the salesclerk was to help you!

@infatuatedbby I don't have the choice but to call the attention of their manager.

If it is still under warranty, and the damage was not due to the carelessness/negligence of the customer, then, it should be fixed by the manufacturer.

@brokenbee I agree. I don't know why this salesclerk refused to fix it.

@brokenbee It was a big relief for me to ask an assistance from the manager. At the back of my mind, what if this salesclerk disrespected my aunt.

Generally they will not oblige so easily. Lucky you.

@shivamani I think they should do it. I am still asking for the services that were enclosed in the warranty period.
