Heat in Arizona

I am so frustrated with news channels. We live in Arizona we should be used to the heat by now. I have lived in Arizona my whole life I remember the day it was 122 degrees. The media coverage was nothing like it is today. I feel like they are trying to freak people out. I understand that it is breaking records this week but those of us that live here should be used to it.

They're not reporting the weather FOR folks in Arizona. They're reporting it TO the folks in Texas, so that we can be thankful.
Oh! If you think it's hot here? Then move to Arizona!!

@rudmom5 I live in Tempe, Az and today I think it was like 110`, and no it wasn't surprising. I have lived here for almost 15 yrs and honestly sometimes the weather would shock even the most seasoned Arizonian. I hope that's right! Lol.

I understand deg C better. So I made a conversion and found that 122 deg F is equivalent to 50 deg C. That is hot! The highest temperature we ever get here is 34 deg C and that is really unbearable. I think a lot of people will not be able to survive if the thermometer hits 50 deg C here.

How can anyone get used to heat! I've never got used to the summers of the place where I've lived for 18 years! Summers just irritate me a lot!
