WWE Money In The Bank - My Thoughts and What Not!

Ok, I meant to write a pre-ppv post for the Money In The Bank but managed to get just thsi one post in, WWE Money In The Bank Pre-Show (link here, Between watching the MITB ppv, Game OF Thrones, and game 7 of the NBA Finals, I just couldn't find the time to write a post. So I decided to ditch that plan and instead watch these shows in order of importance - game 7, MITB, and GoT. First off, awesome battle scenes in the latest GoT episode 'Battle of the B*st*rds'. Awesomesauce! No spoilers here for those who haven't watched it yet but Bolton died. Dog food. Enough said. Second, grats to the City of Cleveland and to all of the Cavs fans! Finally winning a sports championship since time immemorial. Congratulations! Now, watch as the city burns down in the celebration! On to the topic at hand. Apollo Crews defeats Sheamus. This is the classic, 'changing of the guards'-type of match. Crews representing the new era of WWE while Sheamus being part of the 'old' WWE. Apollo Crews was popular at NXT and with this win, I expect better storyline from him. Of course, this is WWE so we can expect this Crews-Sheamus feud to last two to three more ppvs. I'd like to see Crews be build up as the new 'Legend Killer' and he starts defeating more established stars. Rusev successfully defends his United States Championship against Titus O'Neil. the build up for this match was rushed in my opinion. I was kinda hoping that Rusev drops the title to O'Neil and they trade wins and have the belt switch back and forth between the two of them. Of course, Rusev locks on his finisher, The Accolade, and it is game over for the former Gator player. Of course, this being Father's Day in the States, Rusev grabs the mic and stands next to O'Neil's kids and calls him a loser and then greets everyone a 'Happy Father's Day!'. Talk about weird moments in WWE. This is the 'token' Women's Division match for this ppv. The team of Charlotte & Dana Brooke defeated Natalya & Becky Lynch. I prefer a singles match honestly but I guess WWE Creative want to go to a specific direction. Also, with the brand split, the Women's Division will be split up as well so the more divas, the better. I'm one who prefers eye candy and certainly these four ladies are a sight to behold in and out of the ring. Anyway, the heels won this one and in the end we see a heel turn from Natalya as she beats up Becky Lynch. I won't be surprised if Natty and the Irish Lass Kicker lead the Divas division in one of the brands. the New Day wins the Fatal Four-Way Tag Team match and retains the Tag Team Championship belts! This was the match that I was excited about as I'm a fan of the tag team division. The Vaudevillains, Enzo & Cass, and The Club are all worthy teams to be called tag team champions but The New Day has been great so why fix something that ain't broke? the match was as insane as it can get. There were individual spots for each team and near pinfalls and highlights abound. Each team connected on their respective finishers only for the pin to be broken up by someone else from a different team. The Club hit their Magic Killer on Aiden English (from The Vaudevillains) but Big E (from The New Day) manages to break the cover. Big E is able to hit his Big Ending finisher. Luke Gallows (from The Club) tries to make the save but instead he catches a big boot from Big Cass (from Enzo & Cass). To end it off, The New Day hit their finisher and they retain the Tag Team titles. Like what I said, I'm really excited about the future of the tag Team Division and I' curious which team is going where in the brand split. Of course, there's a possibility that tag teams will be actually split but I don't see that happening to the four teams in this match. That's about it. This post is longer than what I want so I'll put up my thoughts on the last three matches in a different post. Thanks for reading.

I am also a fan of TNA and I feel sad that Aj styles who is the biggest face wrestler of tna is a heel in WWE. Back to the topic, I am so glad Roman is not champion anymore. Seriously he is a face wrestler but people hates him and he is only pushed because the rock is his cousin. I hate the rock for paying WWE money to push his cousins Roman,Usos and Nia jax,

AJ Styles will indeed be a heel once the WWE splits back into the two brands - Raw and SmackDown. He is slated to have a rivalry with John Cena once they move to the SmackDown roster.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I think the suspension will finally push WWE Creative to pull the trigger and make Roman Reigns a heel. Although initial plans are to make Reigns the face and Seth Rollins the main heel of the Raw roster.

@allen0187 Creative is so stupid,People were cheering on him when he debuted. I guess Vince is too prideful to make a TNA original a top star. I am so happy that Roman Reigns is suspended. Finally he is off tv. He can beg is cousin Rocky to give him a role in Moana or Baywatch to keep him busy from the suspension. Seriously why Roman is a face? people boo him out of the building.

@allen0187 I remember the "old days" of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant and all, though. And -- LOL -- not everyone is a fan of crime dramas, either, and I watch plenty of those !

It was. Money In The Bank is a favorite ppv of mine along with Royal Rumble and Summer Slam. This year's MITB is definitely one of the best in recent memory.

As a child I used to eagerly wait for the money in the Bank. But gone are those days. I don't find the WWE interesting anymore. A few years ago I used to watch it with utttermost interest.
