The Associated Press reports from Detroit Michigan the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday evening have traded their pitching prospect Zach Lee to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for infielder Chris Taylor. The Mariners needed the services of Lee due to injuries to Mariners starting pitchers Felix Hernandez, Taijuan Walker and Wade Miley that have placed them on the disabled list recently. Lee had been pitching for the Oklahoma City Dodgers which is the AAA minor league team of the Los Angeles Dodgers since he sent back to the minors on April 26, 2016. Lee will likely be working with the Mariners as a starting pitcher with the Mariners at this time until Walker, Hernandez and Miley are back on the active list. Taylor was playing baseball for the Tacoma Rainiers since May 25, 2016 when he was demoted to the minor leagues by the Mariners after he was promoted from the minor leagues on May 22, 2016. The Dodgers will likely have Taylor to be in a reserve role as an additional infielder on their team during the 2016 baseball season. The Detroit Tigers are hosting the Seattle Mariners for a four game series that is being played at Comerica Park.

This trade makes no sense to me. Lee hadn't shined but considering the Dodger staff is as worse as Seattle (save Kershaw) to trade a potential starter for a utility infielder puzzles me. They have players already that cover infield positions.
