Ball point pen or gel pen? / myLot

I was liking gel pen for nearly 10 years and some how suddenly I started liking ball point pens. It may be due to bad quality of paper, where gel pen ink tends to blot on it. Any way, people used to do with both of them. what about you?

I like gel pens to an extent; they don't 'skip' as much as regular ink. However, puddling and 'bleeding through' are the two negatives about some of them because they take a long time to dry.That's why businesses and government discourage the use of gel pens(some forbid it entirely) for signing of documents. Also, blue, in most cases, is an absolute 'no-no'. I prefer black ink over blue in any case.
