Ask Heavenly Father for this wisdom ,that he make you meek and of a humble heart. Because Yeshua(Jesus) says Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.(Matthew 5:5) A soft answer turns away wrath,But a harsh word stirs up anger.(Proverbs 15:1) Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools. (Ecclesiastes 7:9) Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.(Proverbs 16:32) Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.(Proverbs 21:23) Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.(Proverbs 19:11) Conclusion:Anger is not the cure for most of the situations, its the culprit that gives rise to many problems.Being calm most of the times solves the problem. One who stays calm in the times of trouble and calls on the Lord,Lord sustains him.

The wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God-there are times when Yeshua was angry, at religious hypocracy, and hence there are things which are perfectly natural to feel anger about in the world, and hence we pray for His kingdom to come...but anger about small things, daily interaction, sometimes even large things the call of our Lord calls us to forgive as we are forgiven, this must be remembered as well. How anger works out, it's place in an emotionally healthy person, and perspective rooted in Eternity, as you say, it is best to take to God, or it can lead to bad choices, bad actions, or...a kind of spiritual sickness which is, akin to a kind of emotionally brooding Cancer within one's heart.

Amen! I have never understood how to be calm until I finally let the Lord into my life. God is amazing!
