The Associated Press reports the news from Arlington Texas the Cincinnati Reds have activated from the 15 day disabled list right handed starting pitcher 26 year old Raisel Iglesias. Iglesias had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on May 1, 2016 with an impingement on his right shoulder. Iglesias had pitched three games for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos which is the AA minor league team of the Cincinnati Reds in a rehabilitation assignment that began of June 9, 2016. Since the Reds do not want to rush Iglesias back into any starting pitching assignment after his recovery from his shoulder injury, Iglesias will be working as a relief pitcher for the time being. The Texas Rangers are hosting the Cincinnati Reds for a two game series at Global Life Park in Arlington Texas that begins on Tuesday. The Cincinnati Reds have placed right handed pitcher Blake Wood on the paternity list on Tuesday.

The Reds are going nowhere so it behooves them to bring a young pitcher like Iglesias easy.
