Or do you only celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ? If you're Christian, have you found a creative way to do both?

My kids are all grown now and have families of their own but yes we had santa gifts usually only 1 for each child. We read the Real story of Santa Claus. This is the story of how Santa got started and is a Christian story. I use it with my Sunday School class that I teach. If you are not familiar with the story you should be able to purchase the book at any Christian book store.

The name of this book is: Saint Nicholas The Real Story of the Christmas Legend. Written by Julie Stiegemeyer. If you would like to order it the ISBN # is 0-7586-0376-2 and is published by Concordia Publishing House. I ordered my book from Christianbook.com. As a mother, grandmother and Sunday School teacher for 1-4 grade I would recommend this book to anyone who has children asking about Santa.

My family uses christmas as an extra way to acknowledge christ and all the good he has done for us. Christmas is also a very good way to teach your children to give. We don't put from santa on all the presents we put a gift from god to show them that everything they recieve is a blessing not a right.
