The photo accompanying this post is from a 1955 Evinrude outboard motor ad that was carried in National Geographic magazine. Having grown up in an area surrounded by lakes, I’ve seen a lot of people piloting a lot boats with outboard motors. But I must tell you, I’ve never seen anyone handle an outboard with the style this lady has! You want to talk about cool and relaxed and in command… Maybe I wouldn’t want to be in the boat with her at the controls, but when it comes to guiding an outboard motorboat with class, I don’t see how she could be beat!
