Baltimore Orioles place LHP Brian Duensing on the 15 day disbaled list

Miles Wray reports the news from Baltimore Maryland the Baltimore Orioles have placed left handed relief pitcher Brian Duensing on the 15 day disabled list with an injury to his left elbow that will be needing surgery. Duensing began the 2016 Major League Baseball season pitching for the Kansas City Royals AAA minor league team the Omaha Storm Chasers before he asked to be released from his contract on May 16, 2016. The Baltimore Orioles signed Duensing to a minor league contract on May 23, 2016. Duensing had been pitching for the Norfolk Tides which is the AAA minor league team of the Orioles when he was promoted to pitch for the Orioles on June 2, 2016. Duensing,33, had pitched seven games for the Orioles in a relief pitching role with a record of no wins and no losses with an earned run average of 5.40 in the 2016 baseball season. The Orioles promoted left handed relief pitcher Ashur Tolliver on the Orioles 25 man roster on Wednesday. Duensing is not expected to return to the Orioles team until early August due to his recovery time from the surgery to his left elbow. The Orioles are hosting the San Diego Padres on Wednesday at Camden Yards in Baltimore Maryland in the final game of a two game series.

I don't know if the O's are missing that much as Duensing had a 5.40 era.

The 5.40 era does bring up some red flags.
