Lol we have hit the fun stage of life where my littlest is throwing tantrums. They are not big or over the top yet because he is only 17 months old. He so cute when he doesn't it I have a hard time trying not to laugh at him. He stomps his feet, crosses his arms, some times does a little scream, cries, and might try to hit but when he hrs we tell him no and stop him.
I tell him that's not a tantrum your doing it all wrong and try to distract him: which normally works because then he forgets why he is upset.

I normally take his hand and go no no we don't hit we be nice. I tell him to go give a hug instead that works. But some times he just cant help it and goes on stomping and hitting stuff. He must get that part from his 3.5 year old brother he'll do that when he is really angry he has to hit something he won't hit people but himself or and object. I'm working on calming stuff with him.

It's hard when they're so little and don't understand how to vent their frustration.
My boys especially have a hard time, when they're really angry, with refraining from smacking people. And they're 9 and 7!

@Genipher He learned very early its not okay to hit the littlest most of the time never hits anyone unless your holding him. But my 3.5 year hits out of angry which I tell him its okay to be angry and upset but it's not okay to hurt ourselves. Most of the time he will cry and is overwhelmed by emotions. He gets it from his daddy. Hot tempered but at least they don't hurt others.

My goodness that is a cute little one ! Hopefully you can nip those tantrums in the bud before he is older. I have a 27 year old that still does it..lol It sure isn't as cute on an adult. BTW my grand daughter is the same age and does the same thing. Distraction works well for us too.

haha at this age its so easy to distracted them. He isn't nearly as bad as his older two siblings. I'm sure he'll be very bad at age 3 his siblings have been their worst at that age. My 5 year old is much better behaved especially since she had gone to school this year. I'm hoping her brother will be the same this year. They are totally different once they start school all those other kids it kind of helps in its own way. Yes I'm trying to nip it in the bud while I can.
