Projector or Tv

I was thinking about purchasing a projector rather than a bigger flat screen tv, because with a bigger tv I can only get a few inches upgrade where as with a projector I can get a few feet. However the projector my not show as clear and I would need a really expensive one the watch it in the day light and thats not in my budget.
