The Plant is not growing properly....

Today I noticed that the Lucky Bamboo in my house is not in a good condition. Everyday whenever I look, it looked blooming. But, today I observed that there are some bamboos turned into brown and reddish colors. It shocked me. Immediately I watered it.
The leaves on branches are looking pale and dry. I immedately cut them out with a scissor. Removed the red wire tied around the sticks and set it properly. Now, it is looking better. So far I have not cut the length of the leaves. I want to take up this work tomorrow.
Do you have lucky bamboo in your house? How do you take care of it?

Water it regularly at least once in 3 days. Also use drinking water instaed of tap water. May be that should help. I had one at home, it grew well for a while but got dried as I was not regular in watering it. It was a gift felt bad
