Poem: Fine Lined Lies

The night might have whispered into her ears But she didn’t want to know what it said She looked around for the night to give her the long awaited answers To questions that she was to afraid to ask into the day The truth and the lies were some fine line that she couldn’t cross She looked around into the night and into the well known darkness That same one that she had seen for so long and for to much She couldn’t tell if the truth was told or if the night was the lie That she had known to be truth She didn’t want to know the truth but needed to know Despite the fact the truth is something that she had to face One way or another for her to move on This was something that she is in A situation that many have passed and others have not Many are in the same boat as her but she didn’t know what to do One side will tell her to run while others tell her to stay It will be better she will tell herself but she knew somewhere deep down That it will not no matter what she does or have done It will be the same way no matter She wondered what she could do to move one without having to She went into the next room which was filled with the lighted darkness Where she found the same evidence as the time before She knew all of the secrets were in the darkness that she knew Ever so well and it does not lie to her but it tells her to take chose Secrets and take them into the light so she didn't have to hide in the dark anymore Her heart knew that it was right all along but she didn't want to She didn't felt like she was ready for the cold hard truth Even when her heart is pushing for her to so she didn't have to feel the pain any longer It was something she had to face once and for all For her own sake and it was something that she wanted to own up to for a long time But it was something that she didn't know if she can handle She walked in the dead silence that she had become accustomed to It was the love that was once belong only to her and her alone A love of a man that gave her many excuses why he came home so late and never Told her that the real reason why he wasn't home like he once used to be With a smile on his face where the rooms were filled with sunshine Was the reason to be a woman that worked at his own office telling Him the world she can give him and the promises that she couldn't come true The promises that he wanted was already filled by the woman that was at home waiting for him
