The Associated Press reports the Toronto Blue Jays have placed right handed relief pitcher Gavin Floyd, 33, on the 15 day disabled list with tightness in his right shoulder.
Floyd pitched to two White Sox batters on Saturday in the sixth inning of the Blue Jays 10-8 win over the White Sox on Saturday at U S Cellular Park in Chicago Illinois when he left the game due to his injury.
Floyd will be having a MRI on his right shoulder on Monday to determine the severity of his right shoulder injury.
The Blue Jays will promote from their AAA minor league team right handed relief pitcher Bo Schultz to replace Floyd on the Blue Jays 25 man roster on Sunday.
Floyd has a pitching record of two wins and four losses in 28 relief appearances during the 2016 baseball season.
Schultz has a pitching record of one win and one loss in 14 games pitched as a relief pitcher for the Buffalo Bisons during the 2016 baseball season.

Floyd is a pretty decent reliever so this hurts the Jays who are chasing.

His loss on the Blue Jays pitching staff will hurt a lot while he is on the disabled list. Hopefully he will return soon.
