Have dating apps become dangerous? As an outsider looking in, it seems as though dating apps have become an incubator for disease. There are a lot of articles out there blaming dating apps for the current spike in STI and STD outbreaks in North America. The statistics are hard to ignore since the online “dating apps” have come to the market. Just look up the statistics in your region and you’ll see. After working in healthcare for 10 years, the fact that there’s a shortage for Syphilis medication just goes to show how bad it really is. Handing out Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea medication like candy has become the norm. Think again though, it is the user and our public education system we have in place that are majorly to blame. Unfortunately, dating apps are just a platform to make unsafe sex more easily accessible. Where do you think the disconnect is, and what do you think can be done to help with this awful problem?

The dating apps give these reckless people another avenue to get an easy pick up. It definitely contributes to the rise of STI and STD cases but these dating apps are not the sole reason for the increase in STIs and STDs.

Yes, I think the dating apps are dangerous and I'd avoid them at all costs.

Yes, I can see the correlation between STD/I's and dating apps because everyone is using them for quick hookups. It kind of grosses me out.
