I watched Fundamentals of Caring, a movie about a teen that has DMD, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and a writer with a major problem with the past. It starts out with the teen having some issues with his body and the writer comes and becomes a registered care giver. The teen has a dream to see the worlds largest pit, which happens to be miles away, they start out having a relationship only a caregiver can give. The kid was known for kidding around and making jokes while at the same time making himself seem like a jerk. At one point the caregiver couldn’t take anymore and tells him off. The teen tells his mother that he wanted to go on a road trip and see some attractions along the way. The mother gave a little bit of a fight to let him go because she was scared that he might died along the way to see the world biggest pit. He also had another dream as well. Over the course of time they go on a road trip. During this trip they pick up a girl hitch hiking across the country to go to art school. She finally gave him his first kiss and a little love bloomed between them. During this road trip the teen gets to live to see some of his dreams coming true. The care giver tells him that he is wasting his life away watching T.V. He helped the boy travel to see the worlds largest pit. During this travel they meet up with a young girl who this teen falls for and he goes on his first date with her and has a great time. Over a little bit of traveling they met up with a woman named peaches and they helped her deliver her son into the world during this it helps him conquer his past. Something that he couldn’t let go. During this time they were being fallowed by someone. At first he thought it was a man that was trying to get him to sign divorce papers so him and his wife to divorce. He didn’t want to sign the papers because he still loved her even when the past still had him in its hands. He finally found the peace he wanted and needed to move on. But then he went up and found out that the person fallowing him wasn’t fallowing him because his wife or wasn’t hired from the mother of the teen. But it did make some peace between two people who needed some peace between them in the end. He finally moved on and became a writer and written a book about the experience that he had with the teen. I liked this movie because it was funny and witty in some ways that made the movie even better. It was a wonderful story about a man moving on with his life and a teen finally seeing his dreams come true.
