All right, you asked for it. Or, at least, @allen0187 did. So now everyone gets to suffer.
Seven years ago, when I was young and full of energy, my husband and I used to celebrate PI Day. My fellow math nerds know that this special day falls on March 14. Every year. To commemorate the day, many nerds make pies.
PI = Pie
Y'all get it, I know.
I was five months pregnant with our third child. Pi Day was a mere week away. We decided to start a new tradition and bake enough pies for my husband to pass out to his students.
By we, I mean me. Because while the hubby can make a mean omelet, pies are a bit beyond him.
So I started baking. Barefoot. Pregnant. In the kitchen.
My hubby's favorite place for me to be.**
To be fair, I wasn't making the traditional 9" pies. These were only 6-inchers. But still, I was rather impressed when, after a mere four days, I had 66 pies ready to deliver.
Think about that number.
Take a moment of silence to appreciate my awesomeness.
Okay, stop thinking about how great I am and let's get back to the pies...
...They covered our counters and tables and filled the fridge and freezer. Everywhere you looked, you were pied. From strawberry and blueberry, to the traditional apple, banana cream, and pumpkin--we had it all! It was a plethora of flavor!
And the college students ate it up.
Literally.
They loved the Gift of PI, er, pie.
Especially the banana creams. The pumpkin? Meh. Not so much.
Anyway, the next year I was only able to make around 40 pies.
Yup, that year I was a slacker!
The year after that the numbers fell drastically and eventually, over the course of the next couple of years, the pie idea died out.
So sad.
But I suppose it was for the best. With six kids now in tow, spending days in the kitchen just isn't feasible. Not to mention that there are too many little fingers that would be unable to resist all those pies...!
Still, I hold that memory dear. And I will always have bragging rights to the fact that I baked 66 pies.
Sixety-Six!
Ya'll can now tell me how impressed you are.
If you have an amazing baking story, share it! Let's see if you can one-up me in the kitchen!
**Disclaimer: I love to bake. And I love to be barefoot. I also don't mind being pregnant. So that above about hubby? It was a JOKE. And the plan to bake a boat-load of pies for his students? That was all me. So no hating on my man. Because he's awesome. Like me.

Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this story of yours! Long live the Pi er, pie!
Ever thought of baking pies for the myLot brood? Hold that thought if there is even a sliver of sanity left in you. Just messing with you.
I'm afraid I have no baking escapades to share as my involvement in pie is limited to eating it.

@Genipher although, that will be an awesome story in itself.
Imagine baking pies for your virtual friends and sending these pies across the world. i wonder what far flung nation will your pie reach?
