So we went to the Nan Lian Garden during our Hong Kong trip. I just saw the photo of it while I was doing our itinerary before. I found it very interesting. We decided to visit it during the morning even it was still raining. It was a Tang Dynasty attraction and I felt like I travelled back to the ancient time. I wished that I could also wear a Chinese traditional dress even I was in Hong Kong. That was included in my bucket list too-- to be able to wear a traditional cloth of the country I am going to visit. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the garden that we did not notice that selfie sticks were not allowed. The caretakers were very strict in monitoring each visitor making sure everyone was following the rules. We just watched the view and took photos of it. Have you visited any place and got disappointed because selfie sticks were not allowed?

Not disappointed but so happy that selfie sticks are not allowed. I don't like selfie sticks and actually I feel annoyed when tourists block my way or hit me with their selfie sticks. Disney land doesn't allow selfie sticks either. They have banned it last year.

I think that tourists with selfie sticks should be more careful when using it to prevent hurting other people.

@toniganzon Do you go with your friends? Do they share same opinion as you when it comes with the use of selfie sticks?

@annierose Yes but most of them are unmindful of other people. That's why i go to places where it isn't allowed.

Why they do not allow selfie sticks but allowed other cameras to take pictures?

@magallon We do not know. They just used hand gestures. It seems they could not speak in English well.

In fact I don't have a selfie because it is not necessary for me. I still prefer to take photos by the camera since its result is always better than a cellphone. In fact besides Nan lian Garden you mentioned, today there are more places don't allow to use the selfie, such as Disney Land.
