Bruce Levine reports the news on Wednesday the Washington Nationals have signed former Chicago White Sox right handed pitcher Mat Latos to a minor league contract. Latos had been designated for assignment on June 9, 2016 by the Chicago White Sox before he was released on June 16, 2016 by the team after they were not able to find another team that wanted to sign him to join their team. Latos will be pitching for the Nationals minor league team system until he gets promoted to pitch likely as a relief pitcher since the Nationals do not have room for him on their starting rotation at this time. Latos had a pitching record of six wins and two losses with an earned run average of 4.62 in 11 starts for the White Sox during the 2016 baseball season. Latos has pitched in the Major Leagues since 2009 for the San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Chicago White Sox during his career in the Major Leagues.

I guess Dusty Baker wants to work with him one more time.
