National Social Media Day

I need to find out who keeps coming up with all these “national days” and get them to stop! Seriously! 
It's June 30, 2016. Today is National Social Media Day.
Social media has definitely had an impact on our everyday lives. I honestly believe that social media helped Obama win the presidential election. But that's just me.
At any rate folks!
If you use social media, can you say with sincerity, that you are glad it was invented?
Let me go first.
- Social media is also used to make friends and socialize with friends; not family. If I want to talk to my family I'll just talk to them.
- I'm happy with or without, but more happy with it. WHY? Because at almost the same social media became popular I ended unemployed and working from home. My access to the outside world would have been cut off were it not for social media. It's an easy and economical way to circulate stuff pertaining to my home business projects. Every social media account that I've set up was FREE! I am allowed to share all of my business-related links and images FREE! Think about this. What a bonus! That's a tremendous savings on advertising expense for a business owner/operator! Also, some social media sites even pay me for my activity.
- Finally, I really like that social media has connected to people all around the world! It is awesome to be able to talk to someone around the USA and around the globe, as if they are sitting right next to me!
- So to celebrate National Social Media Day, I'm giving the owners of the social networks where I have an account, TWO THUMBS UP!!

Thanks for this info. It is just right to celebrate it due to the benefits each of one have in using social media. It is for friendships, for relationships, for family; as you said it. Many political changes were achieved through social media.

LOL yeah I too need to find out who keeps coming up with all these national and international days. Anyways, the other day I came across this fact- 29th of May is officially recognised as "Put a pillow on your fridge" day. Strange ain't it?

Strange indeed. I wouldn't even know how to put a pillow on my fridge. They should change the name of this day to “Things That Would Never Even Cross My Mind DAY!”
