I'm bushed

It's Canada Day but I got to work for most of it. Eleven and a half hour shift at time and a half. I also get paid statutory holiday pay. July is not going to be as financially tight. I'm a proud Canadian but I won't be doing much celebrating this evening. Too bone weary.
The photo is a rare selfie. Sorry I had to make you all suffer. I'm stuck here for another two hours until my son finishes his shift. I plan to myLot until my battery gives out. I'm under forty per cent right now.
Once that runs out, I'll pull out a notebook and start outlining an article idea I had while filtering the fryers earlier today.
Anybody having as much fun as I am?
Sorry folks will have to add the photo later the WiFi connection is so weak it barely works at all.

I am having fun as I had the day off. Of course I have every day off until September if I choose. But I need income so will be finding mystery shops to do. I am not big on celebrating unless it is getting together with friends but hope to go to the little village and check out their festivities later.

I hope you enjoy yourself. We will be dropping by to give a friend a quick visit on the way home. She's sick and my son is bringing her supper. She paid him for it because she refuses to let him pay himself.

@koopharper That will be a nice pick me up for her even if she did pay for it herself.

@paigea She might have to tolerate us trying to convince her to pay the doctor a visit. I hope she looks like she's on the mend.

My husband and I were able to enjoy some of the festivities with our kids. My eldest really wanted to celebrate Canada's birthday. We didn't stay too long, as it was really hot when we got there, but we stay long enough for them to get some face paint, and a few bouncy castles. Hopefully, waiting for your son was too long or boring.

@koopharper it was cooler, which was kind of nice, after the hot Canada day.

Canada Day was really hot here too. Air conditioning was working and I was in most of the day. Today was a lot cooler.

Independence Day for us in the states is two days away. I probably won't do much celebrating, either, but maybe go to the parade - not sure about that yet.
Looking on the bright side, you made some good money and that's cause for celebration.

I am truly grateful for that. I just finished the day really tired.

Hi, there! Just drove 70km and I am now at my childhood home. Not here to take a rest but to work this Saturday. But tomorrow is a special day coz I"ll be cycling the whole day! So that is making me excited. I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep out of excitement tonight.

It's a lot more fun if you get your sleep first.
Enjoy riding. I managed to put a chain on a broken bike here and now I have wheels again.

That's me. Deliberately low quality. I was bone weary at the time.
