Being surrounded by toxic people day in and day out can be quite draining. Toxic people may spend every waking day of their lives trying to figure out just how to pull someone who is trying to get up down. Why? There's many different reasons why they will try to do such a thing. Fear is one of them. They're fearful that the one they're trying to pull down will succeed. If they're able to succeed then that will make the toxic people feel bad about themselves in order to make themselves feel better. They'll pull and tug until the person or persons become weak and give up. The main goal is to get the person to stop doing what they're doing so that they won't have to feel bad about themselves.

Not a problem because I don't allow negative people into my life. Life is too short to let them in.

Sadly there are a lot of toxic people around. They don't want others to succeed as it might make them look bad, or simple jealousy. The best thing to do is avoid them. If that's not possible, ignore them and keep going.
