My husband and I laughed while watching the 6:30 p.m. news on television, when the newscaster said President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo formed the "pambansang love team!" (National Love Team). It was coined by netizens upon seeing Duterte and Robredo smiling while having a conversation during the turnover ceremonies of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Then this was followed when Robredo made a courtesy call to Duterte inside Malacanang Palace, Manila. Malacanang Palace is the official residence of the Philippine President. Memes about the two top leaders were posted by netizens on Facebook and other social media sites. Maybe they are so happy that both leaders seem to be friendly with each other in spite of some negative things that happened during the campaign period. It shows that beautiful change is coming for the benefit of the Filipinos; as indicated by the good relationship between the two leaders.
