No Accounting for Taste...

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Should I stay in the frying pan and vote for the one, or launch myself into the fire and vote for the other? Which of my options are the lesser of two evils? I know that all that glitters is not gold. Twilight proved that point already. And yet, while our choices may seem to shine, I must remind myself that's it's just the blush of the cameras that make them glow. Either that, or they're secretly vampires... Let's not split any hairs. We all know absolute power corrupts absolutely...so which one should get the whole ball of wax? I guess I shouldn't sweat the details. We're almost done...the fork is nearly stuck in it. For Pete's sake, we're soon going to have people all over the country flipping their lids when the s**t hits the fan. My best option is to sit back and watch the fur fly. Because I cannot, in good conscience, vote for either of these Super Villains...they are just too full of clichés!

Indeed when you think that the two of them are both not worthy of your vote , then don't vote . Just pray the one who will wins will really help the country .

@Genipher Correct ! However , our right to vote would be wasted if we don't vote .

I wonder what would happen if we could get ever single citizen to NOT vote. Though I guess we'd still be thwarted because the nominees get to vote, too. Right?

@SIMPLYD I'm a bit jaded about voting, here in the U.S. For example, back when Obama was running our country had already determined he had won before my state's votes were counted. That pretty much told me my vote doesn't matter.

I think there will be a lot of people going third party this time around.

Wouldn't it be somethin' if that third party got elected? It would be an awesome moment in history!

@Genipher -- yes, indeed. It would have to be a viable candidate, though, not some perennial loser like Mitt Romney or Bernie Sanders playing sour grapes and running third party because he lost the Democratic race.

@FourWalls No, no. We'd need someone completely new...maybe a random third party write-in...

It's a hard one that's for sure.

Where's the vote for Batman? That's what I want to know. He's the hero, er, President our country deserves...

That's why neither of them is getting my vote. The choice between one of two options is not a choice at all. Until we refuse to sit back and accept this status quo, we're going to remain chained to the major political parties.

I wish they'd give us the choice to just dump these two and start over. We have 4 more months...there's still time to find someone better!
