They seem to have been tougher or get immuned to whatever killed them before.
With the rains we are getting, there is something we seem not to like it, mosquitos swarming.
They are small but definitely "el terrible"(terrible).
Electric fans used to be an effective to drive them away, but not anymore.
Everyday, i spray my room and the living room only find out that their population seem not to be decreasing, they are not killed, looks like they just get dizzy.
Aside from that, have to apply lotion. Have to, despite the fact that i don't like that greasy feeling.
I am scared to get sick and hospitalized because of those tiny flying insects.
Now, have to bear that spray smell, greasy lotion and wear pants.
.
Have to be safe than sorry eh.
Any idea that works best for.mosquitos?

You have to take care of the source that generates mosquitoes Stagnant water around you is mainly the cause. There is one way to trap mosquitoes. You can apply some oil on a plate and swing it around. Mosquitoes get stuck to them. Just try and this in the dark.

I have yet to come across something that is really effective against mosquitos. I always find that I may start out with 10 around me, I'll kill 5 and suddenly I have 20 around me
they are very annoying to deal with

Get a couple of pots of citronella plants in and around your home. The plant is a natural mosquito repellent.

We have a garden and this is why mosquitos are so many, but these days I just ignore them but I make sure the outdoors are closed when ever I go inside. I have my electronic tennis racket, works most of the time.

make an outfit of sewn mosquito nets, hija. you know, the 'butas butas' (full of holes) shirt and pants.

We had lunch at Rob at noon today and when we went to Handyman after, I saw a yellow-colored spiral bulb that drives away mosquitoes. Try to look for that at Handyman if there's a Robinsons Mall at your place.

@Lucky15 Oh! When you have the chance to go to Robinsons, try to look for that bulb at Handyman.

it is wise to be wary of those horrendous little beasts. There are not many insects that I dislike, but mosquitoes are the top of the list.
It is not just unpleasant to be bit, but also dangerous with the risk of malaria, zika and even dengue fever.
I find that standing on them works, but can be difficult with hundreds flying around.

oh dear :( vanilla extract (jest a few drops) mixed with an unscented lotion ('r e'en coconut oil) seems to do the trick here. also lemon grass, they aint too fond 'f it neither. i've several 'f the latter planted 'round my back porch. right handy to rub my hands 'cross 'em 'n then o'er my skin/clothin'.

We have been pretty lucky not a lot of mosquitoes here yet. What works for getting rid of them has been an age old problem. Wish someone would have a solution that actually works.

Outside last evening you could hear a steady background hum of millions of the little bloodsuckers. A brief jaunt outside was not a pleasant experience. We sleep under mosquito netting. Not much choice.

This little vampire who sucks blood is very annoying, their bites become itchy and very dangerous. For me, I wear long pants and jacket if it is rainy days and during night, I used electric fan when I'm not in the room or the best thing we have to do is to used off lotion.

We use a spray, it doesn't leave us oily. We also have a coil that you can light the end and it makes smoke for hours, we use that outside under our table to keep those little burgers off our legs. I don't think it is safe for inside...

Usually I just wear sleeves, but we also have mosquito netting around the porch door. To be honest, they don't really bother me that much...like I get the odd bite, but usually they just fly around me, and then leave...but yeh, with all the possibility for disease it really is better safe then sorry:/

Citronella insect repellent is better because it smells nice; or if you have oregano plant, get some leaves, crush it then rub in your arms or other exposed areas; it will repel mosquitoes too.
