Alec Nathan reports the news the New York Mets have placed their ace right handed starting pitcher Matt Harvey who goes by the nickname The Dark Knight on the 15 day disabled list on Wednesday with discomfort on his pitching shoulder. Harvey will likely be able to return to pitch for the defending National League champions after the Major League All Star Game which will be played in San Diego California on July 12, 2016. The Mets have promoted from their AAA minor league team right handed pitcher Seth Lugo to replace Harvey on the Mets 25 man active roster. Harvey has a pitching record of four wins and 10 losses with an earned run average of 4.86 in 17 games pitched in the 2016 baseball season.

The Mets won't miss Harvey too much because he has pitched poorly. This injury may be the cause.

That is true that his injury has affected his pitching performances this year.
