Bee sting!

Yesterday, my 9 year old son got stung by a bee. I put on a mud pack, then an ice pack. I gave him Benedryl, ibuprofen, and Tylenol, and thought he was fine. He woke up at 5 am in tears, and a lot of pain. He had a fever and his hand was swollen, but not too badly. I took him to the ER and they think he might have an infection, so they gave him ibuprofen, a prescription for Keflex, and we were on our way.
I went home and gave him more Benedryl and Tylenol and he fell asleep. I filled his prescription, and have been keeping a medicine log all day to make sure I don't give him too much or too little. Now, his fever seems to have subsided, he isn't in very much pain, but his hand keeps swelling and itches, despite all the meds. I really think he might be allergic, so tomorrow I'm taking him to his primary pediatrician and asking if they will test him for a bee allergy. If he gets stung again, and he is allergic, it could be much more serious. I would feel safer with an epi pen if he has a serious allergy. My brother is allergic to bees, so it worries me.
I hope that he is sleeps well through the night and the swelling doesn't get worse. I did give him another Benedryl before bedtime, so I hope it helps.

I hope your son's hand will get well soon .
I also got stung by a bee accidentally . Though it didn't swell much . I think i just put powder when it was still stingy . Then , since i cannot let the sting out , i just left it . In a few days , it was finally gone .
