Computer help?

Any computer savvy folks out there?
When I get pictures off of my camera, I take the memory card out of the camera and stick it in a little slot in front of the computer tower. My photos unload, then I edit them and whatall.
Today when I tried to do that, my computer gave me a message that said,
"You need to format the disk in Drive F before you can use it". ;(
What??? It's never done that before, and now I can't upload my pictures. Anyone have an idea what I can do to fix it?

I agree that it sounds like there's an issue with your memory card.
If your camera still seems to access everything on the card just fine, use the cable that came with it to connect it to your computer. Once you've done that, you can open it in Windows Explorer and attempt to access the files on the memory card that way.
If that doesn't work, there are recovery utilities out there that can help you try to recover the files on the card. One that I'm somewhat familiar with is SanDisk's RescuePro, which often comes packaged with the memory cards at purchase.
Even if you can get the files off of the memory card, I wouldn't use it again. When you get a new card, format it in the camera. I'd also reformat it in the camera every time that you take files off of it. The reason you want to do this is to help prevent corruption, which can happen when you delete just a few images off the card at a time.
If you have a Best Buy near you, bring in your corrupted memory card when you're done with it instead of throwing it away. We recycle all sorts of electronics to keep them out of landfills.
