Became a myLot member in August 2015, and one of my discussions initiated during my first month was titled “What's Wrong With Republicans?” It wasn't a discussion. Just wanted to blow off steam. I was upset because I had clicked on a link expecting to read an informative write-up explaining this political party, i.e. their philosophy, ideals, aims, goals, etc. However, it was a disappointing load of malarkey! This time I struck gold! Rediscovered a blog post dated 2013, that is much more explanatory and although one may think the blog publisher is slightly biased, the content does have educational value and historical and political import. Both parties use statics to discredit the other. Such tactics can be quite annoying. Politics has become a laughing stock for so many. It doesn't matter what party one belongs to. Voters should vote for the most qualified and the one who can make USA better.

I agree. It may be political but your vote is personal. Vote for the one you think is best qualified. Those stats can be annoying. However, if the data is factual and the point being made is the truth, can't argue with that. But I know what you mean. You hear the words in a speech. Then somebody comes right behind who went on a fact-check mission and goes "Well that's not exactly accurate." Good grief! Who wrote the friggin' speech? Didn't they at least check for accuracy? Or did they just pull numbers out of a hat? And the speaker? Why doesn't he or she ask if the info is correct before they blast it out on a loud speaker?! Gimme a break! It's a burden to have to sift through misinformation, errors and lies and find facts to be able to make a decision. Just the facts! PLEASE!!!
