Joseph Nocco reports the news the Cleveland Indians have sent right relief handed pitcher Zach McAllister on the 15 day disabled list with an injury to his right hip.
In addition to McAllister being sent to the 15 day disabled list, the Indians have sent right handed staring pitcher Mike Clevinger to their AAA minor league team the Columbus Clippers due to his earned run average of 7.71 in 16.1 innings in four games pitched with the Indians was a factor in being returned to the minor leagues on Thursday/
It is not clear how severe the injury to McAllister will keep him off of his pitching duties at this time.
The Indians will replace McAllister and Clevinger on their 25 man roster by promoting from the Clippers right handed pitchers Joe Colon and Austin Adams on Thursday.
The Indians will be hosting the New York Yankees for a four game series to be played at Progressive Field in Cleveland Ohio starting on Wednesday.

Cleveland has been riding high recently despite Clevenger's poor performance.
