Hi Everyone! Where's the Booze?

Well, howdy! I hear a lot of folks from Bubblews have ended up here, so I thought I would pop in and say hello. Not because I miss Bubblews, but because I miss you guys. Bubblews as a business kind of sucked, but as a community, it was pretty awesome. I guess we earn a few pennies here, but that is just a bonus. A bonus I will be grateful for, but not what will keep me here.
I found and followed several old friends, but I did not find a few. I'll look around more later. I still have a few folks I am hoping are around like the Boddeys, Val and a few other Kiwis. Sadly, my memory is lousy and many people I cannot recall user names. So I am searching MyLot for Tom, Nikki, Shannon, Dave, etc.
I will not be around here as much as I was around Bubblews. For one thing, Pop (my dad) is needing more attention. He is still doing well for a 92 year old, but his eyesight continues to slowly deteriorate. He has started mixing up things my brother and I did in the past. He keeps telling me how dumb I was for getting rid of "that Ford Falcon he gave me when I joined the Air Force." I mean, come on... I would never have gotten rid of the Falcon!

I can't get Steve Boddey and the missus to join here, lord knows I have tried. Maybe you will have better luck!! Val is here and lots of others. Go to Jabo or my accounts and see who we follow and you will find lots of our former friends. Good to see you here.

@jillybean1222 I am Facebook friends with both of them and I message Steve to join regularly. I think karen did join in the beginning and never posted.

I was thinking they did join, but they just haven't been posting. Maybe i'm confused. I am friends with Karen on Facebook. Sounds like she's busy. :-)

@darksinistar My brother is doing great...thanks for asking! He was offered a new job in March and we moved to Louisville, KY. We both love it here!

I actually used Smooch to find you LOL. I just searched for the Smooch the Cat tag knowing if he were around you would be close by.

Thanks Jabo. All things considered he is doing well for his age other than his eyesight. The mixing up things is worrisome but so far is relatively mild. For that I am grateful.

@darksinistar ! So good to see you here :) . I logged in tonight after a long time away and this was a wonderful surprise. Sorry that your Dads eyesight is deteriorating. Your brother got rid of the Falcon?!

Many, many years ago in the 1960s LOL. But my dad has never let him forget it. He traded it for a Ford Pinto.

I am glad I found it. Bubbles always seemed a more positive place than Facebook where people could even disagree amicably. I missed that.

@darksinistar yep, that was the sad thing was not knowing how to tell people about this place. there's been a couple others that i've tried. but so far, this one seems to be lasting.
