Later today Andy Murray will face Milos Raonic in the final of the Wimbledon Gentlemen's singles. Andy Murray is the number two seed; Raonic the number six. Murray beat Raonic at Queen's three weeks ago, and beat him in all of their last five matches (don't know how many times they've actually played each other though). With all the rest of the top seeds out, Murray is favourite to win. He has been in ten Grand Slam finals before but, and this is the poorest record of any men's player in decades, only won two of them. Not that this means he's a bad player. In every final he's been up against either Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic - two of the greatest players ever. Murray can, and has, beaten them both - Djokovic in both Grand Slams - but that's a hard pair to beat. With them out, this is considered to be his tournament to lose. Raonic beat Federer to get to the final, and he's no slouch. He's the first male Canadian in the Open Era (1968 onwards) to reach the Wimbledon final. He's by far the best Canadian singles player in history. My thoughts? Murray will win, but Raonic will put up a good fight (and Raonic may well win a Grand Slam in the not too distant future). Pity I'm going to miss the match. Image: Freeimages.com

Logic says Murray will win but you never know. Why not an upset to cap the tournament!

Well, the match is over now and Andy Murray finally got his third Grand Slam. I wasn't able to watch it live, but, looking at the scores, it looked like Andy won it fairly comfortably. However, also looking at the scores, it looks like Raonic did pretty well himself. It looked as if Murray only broke his serve once, and it was the tiebreaks that Raonic struggled with.

I hope Murray wins, I like him more than Raonic even though I am Canadian...I just think it's Murray's time to win it.

Yes, looked like it was. It's been a long dry spell for Murray, but he's back with Lendl and he's won again.
