Dual nature of me

I will be normally make more friends and talk with strangers, make jokes and enjoy, participate actively in almost all activities around .I have also organised seminars and lectures for the public on many topics. But in some important situations, I will be thinking some thing and will not talk with any one in the gathering. this is a total contrast to my normal personality.I will repent after the event. why is this happening? Any one having such dual nature?
