How to deal with infections?

One of my friends got a bad bacteria after an operation. I remember that she was eating garlic soup regularly, maybe every day, and she got well. Not sure if she took some medication too.
I had fever for weeks in the 1980s and started to eat raw garlic and did it for about a week. The fever stopped. Some time later a doctor told me that I had had pneumonia and it had healed. I think it was the garlic..
When I got an ear infection, which happens very rarely, I remembered garlic. Today I used my mixer and made a smoothie with raw garlic, celery stalks and bananas.
I will continue drinking it for a while and see what happens. Will also add rocket salad and some other goodies.
Have you used garlic or some healthy vegetable to help you heal any disease??

I used to eat garlic and ginger every time I have some sore throat problem. But now I have some serious stomach acidity I can't consume them. I hurts when their juice come in contact with my stomach walls. Now I use guava leaves as an alternative tea. It helps me belch.

Good if it helps you..
Some use Aloe Vera for the stomach, and Lactic Acid bacteria that we can find in Sauerkraut and other fermented veggies. But guava leaves sound interesting. I guess they grow where you live..

@buenavida I stay avoid fermented foods because it might affect my stomach but I will try using Aloe Vera. Yes there are a lot of guava trees in my place. Actually only the kids like the fruit and they will search for the whole day finding a big one.

I sometimes eat the garlic with yoghurt - then it is not so strong.. Eating alkaline prevents cancer and many other diseases, as cancer cells can't grow in an alkaline environment - vegetables should keep us healthy!!

@buenavida It sounds something new for me. As we never think that the garlic can be mixed with yoghurt.

I like some fresh garlic in my salads. I use it as a food and do not use it as a medicine.
