Oh. My. Giddy. Aunt. The spiders are out to get me! Yesterday I went to lay down in bed and a tiny spider scurried across my sheets. I've never karate-chopped so fast in my life! And then, today, our youngest child decided to get creative with his pbj sandwich. I carted him off to the tub for his well-earned bath, pulled back the curtains, and discovered a spider assassin waiting for me. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. We're going to have to burn the house down and assume new identities under a witness protection program...

I rather like spiders. I rescue them from baths and curious cats.

@Genipher I won't eat shark. I want to know that if I ever meet one when I'm diving I can look it in the eye without any sense of guilt.

@boiboing And the shark would probably instinctively know and let you live. Ever since I saw JAWS as a kid, I've been afraid of swimming in the ocean.

My Great Uncle used to squish the little spiders but he set the big ones free. He said the big guys would come back to haunt him in his sleep, if he killed them.

Spiders freak me out too, they run so fast, with legs everywhere. Horrible things. You have a very amusing way of looking at things.

Thanks! I agree, they're freaky fellows. I know they've got a job to do, but I wish they'd stay outside to do it!
