Every time my browser become drowsy I feel Win10 is making another huge update. And that's what happen all the time. The update always occur when I'm editing. I guess I need to wait for the download and installation before I start my edits again.

I solved this problem once and for all by disabling updates. My computer doesn't even look for them now.

That would be dangerous now. I new hole was discovered yesterday having to do with your printer software that allows an attacker to take over your computer. There was an essential patch in those updates for yesterday. I still have Windows 7 but this affects every version of Windows.

Can't you disable the update and put it to manual mode? In that way you'll have control on whether or when to update.

I have my windows 7 updates set to notify me and let me choose what and when to install. That prevents me from having to reboot while editing and gives me a chance to save and close down, but I really don't need the alert. The computer just stops working right until I shut it down. So whenever the computer gets really slow or hangs, I check the windows key and see the message that I need to shut down to let it install the updates. I still have to interrupt what I was doing. I just get a change to save it.

Windows seems to be struggling with this. Not sure how they can be more quiet so to speak when they do updates.
